Lisa Archer
Calm, patient, safety-first driving lessons across Perth’s northern suburbs. The same instructor, every lesson.

Safety first, then technique
I’m Lisa Archer, owner and instructor at Dovetail Driving School. I’ve been driving, instructing and supervising driving for over five years, and I love it. There’s nothing like watching a nervous learner become a confident driver who can flow with traffic and hold a conversation at the same time.
Before I was an instructor, I was a nurse. I’ve seen firsthand what poor driving decisions can do. That’s why safety always comes first in my lessons. My aim isn’t just to get you through the test. I want you to make decisions on the road that keep you, and everyone around you, safe.
“Safety first, then technique.”

A calm seat beside you
Students tell me the nurse in me helps them relax and try new skills without the fear of being told off. Mistakes are part of learning to drive. They’re nothing to be embarrassed about. We fix them together, at your pace.
Away from the wheel, I’m mum to four teenage boys, I help my husband with his business, and I love 4WDing, camping and being part of my church community. I know busy lives, and I’ll work around yours.

The same calm lesson, every time
No rushing and no judgement.
Patient and non-judgemental
No rushing, and never made to feel behind. Just steady, clear guidance from someone who wants you to do well.
Safety-first technique
Skills that keep you safe for life, not just tricks to pass the test. Then the technique to go with them.
The same instructor, every lesson
One instructor and one teaching style, so you build real confidence instead of starting over each time.
